My Diet, Week 12 - Consolidation Countdown

Well overall I didn't do too bad on my 1st week on the consolidation phase, even though I found it hard work.

I tried a new recipe  during the week, which I thought tasted lovely.

Rosemary Beef Burgers

I also treated myself to an Indian takeaway on Saturday night, and although I thought of it as a celebration meal, the only thing I ate which was not in the Dukan Diet was the onion bhajee and a little bit of popadom. Over the week I also treated myself to 2 squares of fudge & an Eccles cake.

Mostly I just added salad or stir fry on P days (for my OH) to my food. My Protein only days were Monday & Sunday. My OH lost another 1.75lbs this week, he has now lost 1st 8lbs, so he is still right on track.

I weighed myself this morning and my weight was pretty much stable, so not bad.

Weight: 8st 12lbs

Weight Lost: 3/4 lb

Total Weight Lost: 1st 9lbs

So although a small loss, I feel I am doing something right as I'd still like to slowly get to 8st 7lbs.

I did managed 2 tracked walks last week, but I also did a fair bit of walking yesterday which I didn't track, so probably walked for roughly 2-3 hrs this last week.

I am having a meal out with friends on Wednesday night, so there is one of my celebration meals this week sorted, not sure what I'll do for a 2nd - probably won't but we shall see.

My Diet - Day 41 & Day 42

Saturday 27th October 2012

Breakfast: Scrambles Egg with Low fat Cream Cheese

Lunch: Left over Chicken Casserole

Dinner: Sheek Kebab, Tandoori Trout, with onions & peppers & Salad (absolute yummmmm)

Snack: 2 x Goji Dukan Cookies, "no added sugar" ginger beer

I haven't done any exercise today, so far, I've had other things to do, however as well as my walk yesterday I thoroughly scrubbed my cooker clean, and believe me, when I say, that had to have burnt off calories.

My Indian takeaway was superb and sooooo tasty. I tried to choose very wisely, the Sheek Kebab is made from minced lamb, which technically is not on the Dukan Diet due to the fat content in lamb, however I decided to have it, knowing that most of the fat would drip off during the cooking process. I decided on the Tandoori Trout for my main meal which came with salad, but I didn't realise also came with some veggies, onions & peppers, both allowed on PV days so I ate it all up and delicious it was too. I know the veg may have been fried or even roasted but after completing 6 weeks on this diet with no hick-cups at all, I felt I deserved it. My OH had a whole Tandoori Chicken, rather than trout and had the same sheek kebab starter as I did.

Sunday 28th October 2012

Lunch: Natural Yoghurt (mixed with a dsp of low cal sugar, cinnamon & ginger)

Snack: Chocolate mousse

I've chosen not to take exercise out doors today, it's Sunday, my day of rest. I know I didn't do any yesterday but I have in fact done plenty this week to cover missing yesterday and today. If I feel particularly energetic later I may do something on the Wii Fit. (Don't hold your breath though) ;)

It's my sister's birthday today and I popped over to see her and was very good in resisting the offer of birthday cake and chocolates.

The sticky chicken for dinner  was delicious, tasted like sweet chilli sauce (without the chilli). I think I made too little chicken or too much sauce or maybe I was supposed to cook it without a lid on the casserole dish, the sauce then might have reduced & thickened more to make sticky chicken, rather than chicken in sweet sauce.

My Diet - Day 13

Took an early walk today as the weather was beautiful with not a cloud in the sky. My OH came with me today which was pleasant to have someone to chat to, we were out for 37.15 mins and walked 2.02 miles. I don't know how many calories my OH burnt off but apparently I burnt off 161.

I weighed myself this morning, have decided to weigh myself after every protein only day, and again was pleased with what I saw.

Weight: 9st 13.5lbs

Weight Loss: 1.25lbs

Total Weight Lost: 8.5lbs

Saturday 29th September 2012

Today's menu

Breakfast: Fat-free Vanilla Yoghurt with Oat Bran, Cup of Tea

Lunch: Creamy Tomato Soup

Dinner: Indian Takeaway of Tandoori Chicken & Salad

Have a party to attend tonight, not sure if its going to be a temptation or not. I'm not a big alcohol drinker and will be driving so not having alcohol will not be a problem for me, I'm not sure if I can say the same for my OH. As for any food that may be offered, so long as its meat or veg I can manage, but you rarely get that with party food, so we shall see, hence the Indian Takeaway before we go out.

My Diet - Day 12

I made a slight change to my walking plan today, I was intending to do it during my 3pm break at work, but instead went out early in the morning before I started work. I didn't want to get to later in the day and something come up which would mean I didn't get to go out. So ... my walk today was 2.2 miles burning 169 calories over 37.41minutes.

I've probaly burnt off more than that with all the work I've done today, my back is aching - argghh!!

I didn't weigh myself this morning, I resisted the urge.

So ... todays menu

Friday 28th September 2012

Breakfast: Vanilla Oat Bran Porridge, Cup of tea

Lunch: Scotch eggs

Dinner: Grilled Salmon with herbs

Snack: Chocolate Mousse

Almost ate it before I got a picture, I am quite proud of this mousse, I've never made one before, and it came out brilliant, tasted delicious and I will definitely be making that again.

Another PV day tomorrow, but the tricky part is I'm off to a party in the evening, so really hope I am not tempted to eat wrong foods or drink alcohol. I am ordering an Indian takeaway to eat before the party, probably, tandoori chicken & salad, so that I am not hungry when I go out.

We shall see how that pans out ...
