My Diet - Day 58, 59 & 60

Wednesday 14th November 2012

Breakfast: Ham & Egg

Lunch: Cinnamon Oat Bran Pancake

Dinner: Chicken Curry

I went for an early walk today, I'm getting boring as I only seem to go walking en route to the station with my son these days. However, it's a walk so ...  35:47 minutes, covering 2.02 miles and burning off (hopefully the rest of the birthday cake I stuffed yesterday) 146 calories, yes I couldn't resist yet another piece of birthday cake, but on the other hand it has now all been eaten so no more temptation.

Tomorrow is my marathon cinema day when I go to see all the Twilight films finishing with the new one starting at midnight, I can't wait, but it will be a challenge to see if I can decide what snack foods to take with me.

Twilight Day :)

Breakfast: Scrambled Egg

Lunch: Left over Chilli Con Carne/Shepherds Pie

Dinner: Sticky Chicken Salad

Snack: Oat Bran Chocolate Brownie

Although I was working 1st thing this morning, I still managed to get a walk in before my marathon cinema day.  I was out for 38:45 minutes covering 2 miles. Then I'm afraid the rest of my day and night was taken up with Twilight.

Friday 16th November 2012

Well yesterday went really well, I ate exactly what I'd planned to eat.

Amazing night

It was a long day/night, watching all 5 Twilight films on the trot, but so worth it.

Breakfast: Cinnamon & Goji Berry Oat Bran Porridge

Lunch: Grilled Peppered Mackerel

Dinner: Asian Meatballs

Snack: Low Fat Yoghurt

I didn't manage to get a walk in today, I've had the time it's just I'm pretty tired from getting in at 2.45 this morning and then waking up at 7am, 4 hrs sleep really not enough.

My Diet, Week 5 - Day 29 I've lost a stone

Monday 15th October 2012

Woo hoo I've lost my 1st stone in weight, plus an extra 1/2lb. It helped that my last 3 days have happened to be protein only days, which wasn't intended as I deliberately left Saturday a PV day so that I could maybe enjoy some party food, but that never happened. I'm not complaining.

This week I have decided to do one day PV & 2 days P only, just to speed up the weight loss a little, well that's my intention but lets see how it plays out throughout the week.

Weight: 9st 7 3/4lbs

Weight loss for week: 2 3/4 lbs

Total Weight Lost: 1st 1/2lb

Breakfast: 2 x Boiled eggs with Oat Bran pancake soldiers (Ended up eating them separate as the pancakes soldiers were a little to difficult to dip in the egg)

Lunch: Tomato Soup

Dinner: Shepherds Pie with Swede Mash

Snack: Nothing planned, but my OH has cockles & king prawns (yuk, I don't like shell fish) to nibble on if he gets peckish. I will probably just have more tomato soup if I fancy something else later.

My walk today was inspired by my son, who needed to walk to the railway station, without him going I do believe I may not have gone out for a walk at all today. Still you have to take the opportunities that step in your way ... no matter how small :) the distance covered was 2.17miles and I burnt off 164 calories.

My Diet - Day 19

I needed a bit of self inspiration today to do my walk, I couldn't get out this morning as I was working, that brought me to my lunch time and then I had to wait a while to let my food go down, finally I went for my walk. After doing so much more yesterday it would have been so easy to say to myself "you've done enough for the week" but I didn't and I went out. My walk was 2.02 miles, burnt 155 calories and took me 35mins.

I weighed myself this morning but there was no change in my weight, however my OH lost another 0.25lb so nothing to stress over.

Today is another PV day & this is what I've eaten

Breakfast: Herb Omelette, Cup of tea

Lunch: Left over Shepherds Pie from Wednesday

Dinner: Chicken Curry, onion & red pepper (with Curry Sauce) & Cauliflower "Rice"

Snack: Oat Bran Cookies

I am amazed at how good I feel most of the time, I've only had one day of tiredness, which I don't relate to the diet, I've not suffered any headaches, constipation or any other potential side effects of this diet. I still make sure I get through 1.5 litres of fluid a day, which is mostly water but sometimes its a cup of tea or a diet coke or something similar.

So have any of you readers of my diet blog considered trying this diet yourselves? Feel free to leave a comment and let me know how you're getting on.

My Diet - Day 16

No weigh-in this morning.

For the 1st time since I've been on this diet, yesterday, I felt tired, I was desperately trying not to fall asleep at 9.30pm and ended up going to bed at 10pm. I slept solid til 6am (which is really good for me, I usually sleep around 6 - 7 hrs a night) then went back to sleep til 7am, when my alarm went off, and then I still went back to sleep, finally getting up at 7.30am.  Now whether this tiredness is anything to do with the diet, I don't know (and probably not I think) but whatever caused it I definitely needed the rest.

Tuesday 2nd October 2012

Breakfast: Breakfast Scramble & Cup of tea

Lunch: Crispy Ham

Dinner: Roast Chicken

Snack: Cinnamon Oat Bran Pancakes & Low fat Yoghurt

I'm still drinking my litre & a half of water a day and what with cups of tea or the odd diet coke I probably have nearer 2 litres of fluid a day.

I went for my walk today with my son, which usually is a faster walk but for some reason it wasn't today, maybe we were talking too much.  We walked 1.84 miles & I burnt off 144 calories.

Haven't felt tired at all today, so I really don't think it was the diet that caused my tiredness yesterday.

My Diet - Day 13

Took an early walk today as the weather was beautiful with not a cloud in the sky. My OH came with me today which was pleasant to have someone to chat to, we were out for 37.15 mins and walked 2.02 miles. I don't know how many calories my OH burnt off but apparently I burnt off 161.

I weighed myself this morning, have decided to weigh myself after every protein only day, and again was pleased with what I saw.

Weight: 9st 13.5lbs

Weight Loss: 1.25lbs

Total Weight Lost: 8.5lbs

Saturday 29th September 2012

Today's menu

Breakfast: Fat-free Vanilla Yoghurt with Oat Bran, Cup of Tea

Lunch: Creamy Tomato Soup

Dinner: Indian Takeaway of Tandoori Chicken & Salad

Have a party to attend tonight, not sure if its going to be a temptation or not. I'm not a big alcohol drinker and will be driving so not having alcohol will not be a problem for me, I'm not sure if I can say the same for my OH. As for any food that may be offered, so long as its meat or veg I can manage, but you rarely get that with party food, so we shall see, hence the Indian Takeaway before we go out.

My Diet - Day 10

It seems odd not to weigh myself in the morning after doing it every day for a week, feels sort of wrong, but I'll get used to it.

Yesterday was lovely having vegetables with the meals but today is back to a P (protein only) day.

Wednesday 26th September 2012

Menu for today:

Breakfast: Scrambled Egg & Crispy Ham, Cup of tea

Lunch: Grilled Trout with Herbes De Provence

Dinner: Garlic King Prawns

Snack, Oat Bran Cookies

I was going to have poached egg for brekkers but had 4 egg yolks left over from dishes I'd cooked where it only required the egg white, so thought I'd use them up this morning & had scrambled instead.

I took my walk just after I'd finished with my morning clients whilst I was in the momentum of working hard, if I'd sat down at that point I'm not sure I would have got up for a while. The walk today took 35 minutes 21 seconds and burnt 159 calories over 2.01 miles. Although its a walk I do frequently I decided to walk through the park on my way back, for a change of scenery.

Everything on the menu was eaten today, however not all by me. I do not like prawns at all. I did attempt one, I even tried frying a couple but I still couldn't eat them. My OH was unconcerned as he loves tiger prawns, as does my daughter who has nabbed the leftovers for a prawn mayo sandwich tomorrow. However I did buy much larger trout fillets this week and so my grilled trout with herbs was quite substantial ... for now.

I have still had no adverse effects and have to say I don't anticipate any now. Looking forward to my chicken casserole tomorrow - ooh that reminds me I'd better get the chicken out of the freezer ....
